Overview

For 40 years, Howard S. Kronberg has been involved in various types of insurance litigation at all levels including appellate work. He concentrates his practice on defending insurance agents and brokers in error and omissions (E&O) litigation and regulatory matters, and has a record of resolving many of New York’s cases.  

Mr. Kronberg handles litigation for insureds and carriers in first and third-party matters, coverage analysis, coverage litigation involving a wide range of policies, including, but not limited to general liability (primary and excess), inland marine, business interruption, fire, and more esoteric policies like equine mortality, event insurance, fine art and surety & fidelity bonds. He is also panel counsel for several carriers for personal injury defense, including Labor Law cases.

Additionally, Mr. Kronberg is counsel to insurance agents and brokers on loss prevention, regulatory, transactional and licensing issues. He represents clients in New York State and Federal courts, as well as other states on a Proc Hac Vice basis, including Vermont. He is admitted in the Supreme Court of the United States.

He is a published author of Fidelity and Suretyship, part of the definitive multi-volume set “Matthew Bender on New York Insurance Law & Practice (1991 Ed) and some 30 articles on E&O issues for the Independent Agents and Brokers of New York, Inc. (“Big I”). Through the Big I, Mr. Kronberg is a certified continuing education lecturer to its members. For many years, he has been a mentor to law school students and recent graduates of his alma mater.
