Overview

Associate Carly Sirota focuses her defense practice on employment litigation.

She defends businesses in a range of employment-related matters, including employee claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation brought before state and federal courts and in administrative proceedings such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO). She also represents employers in wage and hour lawsuits, claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Additionally, she works closely with her clients to provide counsel and training on employment practices, on procedures, and setting employment guidelines to help avoid employment disputes, and future litigation proceedings.

Previously, Ms. Sirota worked on labor and employment matters for law firm and government clients, including as an Honors Attorney for the U.S. Postal Service.
